How lesson plan aligns with TPACK framework:

This lesson was designed by integrating technology around a subject and pedagogy instead of

designing the subject and pedagogy to fit the technology. First, the lesson considering the

content knowledge (CK) or what would be taught. Next, the lesson determined the Pedagogy

Knowledge (PK) or the how it would be taught. Then, the technological knowledge (TK) or tools

were determined to make the content more accessible to the student. Thus, applying the use of

the TPACK Model.

Strategies for differentiation for diverse student groups:

• Students with Individualized Education Program (IEP) will be addressed as needed on a

case-by-case basis

• Assignment will be due by 11:59pm to accommodate anyone that needs extra time
Describe how the scholarly article you found contributed to the development of this lesson

plan?

The article, “Student Success: Academic Advising, Student Learning Data, and Technology”,

contributed to this lesson plan because it addressed two important issues that affect the design,

delivery, and expectations of academic advising. The two issues discussed were the use of

technology and data analytics and how both intersect with academic advising. The article

discussed two models, Wilcox and Steele, which both explained the importance of using

technology to enhance and promote the field of academic advising. In addition, the article

addressed the importance of the use of a Learning Management System (LMS) to help focus on

and assess student learning outcomes.
