1. Could you explain the reasons why 2013 curriculum is designed?


2. Mrs. Jane is English teacher in Junior high school. When she is teaching descriptive
text, she will assess the students’ competence. Therefore, she uses Government
Decree No. 23, 2016? Please explain briefly your answer about it. You can also
clarify your answer by explaining bloom taxonomy below.

3. a. What do you know about emergency curriculum? Explain briefly your answer.
b. Could you explain the differences between emergency curriculum and 2013
curriculum
4. Miss Dian is an English teacher in one of private school in Mojokerto. There are some
tourist objects so many foriegners visit there every week. It was aroud 400 foreign visitors.
However, native people, teenagers and the leaders of the village cannot speak English so
they get difficulty to communicate with foriegners. Therefore, Miss Dian will establish
English course in that area. Based on the problem above, answer the folowwing questions:
a. What kinds of curriculum does Miss Dian design?
b. What are the differences between syllabus design and curriculum development?

c. Explain the steps of need analysis that must be done to establish their curriculum

1. In the 2013 curriculum objectives, students are required to think more creatively,
innovatively, quickly and responsively and in addition in the 2013 curriculum
students are trained to cultivate courage in themselves. Students will be trained in the
ability to speak in solving a problem. In the 2013 curriculum is also given or included
elements of community life, nation, and state and religious elements to form students
of character.
2. "Article1 of Permendikbud No. 23 of 2016 on Education Assessment Standards states
that educational assessment standards are standards regarding the scope, objectives,
benefits, principles, mechanisms, procedures, and methods of assessment of student
learning outcomes. ""

The table showed that remembering taxonomy tells how the students recall the
knowledge in long term memory. The questions are constructed to ask the students to
remember knowledge for meaningful learning. Understanding taxonomy is used to
demonstrate understanding of information by explaining concepts or ideas of facts by
organizing, comparing, translating, interpreting, describing and stating main ideas.
Applying requires the students to be able to take the ideas and apply them in a new
model. Analyzing taxonomy means to separate the concepts into some parts so that its
structure is understandable. This taxonomy demands the students to be able to
analyze, categorize, classify, compare, contrast, discover, dissect, divide, examine,
inspect, simplify, survey, test for, distinguish, list. Evaluation means to judge. The
aim of evaluation is to make decision based on the results. Therefore; evaluating
taxonomy is not asked in English test. Creating taxonomy demands the students to
produce something. This includes generating new ideas, products, or ways of viewing
things. Therefore; creating taxonomy is used to ask the students in the English test.
3. a. Emergency curriculum is one of the choices that can be taken by educational units
that do Distance Learning (PJJ). Emergency curriculum were created for the
simplification of basic competencies during distance learning.
b. The 2013 curriculum and the emergency curriculum have differences. And the most
notable difference is the reduction of basic competencies (KD) in emergency
curriculum. This simplification will reduce the basic competencies for each subject.
Thus, learners will focus on essential competencies and competencies that are
prerequisites for the continuation of learning to the next level.

b. The difference between curriculum and syllabus is that a subject syllabus is just a
unit of a course or subject curriculum. Curriculum can be termed as a combination of
the syllabus, course design, classes timetable as well as lesson plans for the subject. A
curriculum also helps in planning how a certain subject or course will be taught while
the syllabus just includes topics and concepts that will be covered.
