Defenition Of Heart Disease

Heart Disease ?

The term “heart disease” refers to several types of heart conditions. The most common type of
heart disease in the United States is coronary artery disease (CAD), which affects the blood flow
to the heart. Decreased blood flow can cause a heart attack. Any disorder that affects the heart.
Sometimes the term "heart disease" is used narrowly and incorrectly as a synonym for coronary
artery disease. Heart disease is synonymous with cardiac disease but not with cardiovascular
disease which is any disease of the heart or blood vessels.

Sign And Symptoms Of Heart Disease

A person having a heart disease will show several symptoms, such as:

- Chest discomfort
In the case of a blocked artery or a heart attack, the symptoms that may be felt are pain,
tightness, or a feeling of pressure in the chest.
- Pain that radiates to the arm
chest pain that radiates to the left arm. Be alert and get checked immediately if you
experience symptoms of chest pain that feels radiating to the left side of the body.
- Dizziness and weakness suddenly
lose balance or feel weak for a moment. If you suddenly feel unstable and also experience
chest discomfort or shortness of breath, these are symptoms of heart disease
- Sore Throat or Jaw
This condition can indeed be a symptom of other diseases. However, if you experience
chest pain that radiates to your throat or jaw, it could be a symptom of a heart attack.
- Easy to get tired
If you suddenly feel tired or out of breath after doing something that wasn't a problem
before, like climbing stairs or carrying groceries from the car, this may be a sign of heart
disease. Extreme fatigue or unexplained weakness, sometimes for days on end, can be a
symptom of heart disease, especially for women.
- Cold Sweat
Cold sweats for no apparent reason can signal a heart attack. If this occurs in conjunction
with other symptoms.
- Swelling of Feet and Ankles
This condition can be a sign that the heart is not pumping blood as effectively as it
should. When the heart can't pump fast enough, blood backs up into the veins and causes
swelling in areas of the body away from the heart, such as the feet and ankles.
Heart failure can also make it difficult for the kidneys to remove excess water and
sodium from the body, which can cause swelling in some parts of the body, such as the
legs.
- Irregular Heartbeat
It's normal for the heart to beat fast when nervous or excited. However, if you feel your
heart beating fast for more than a few seconds, or if it happens frequently for no apparent
reason it can show if you have problem with your heart.
