REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Driveshaft

Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Section 100-02 .

3. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
• To install, tighten the new bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

4. NOTE: Do not remove driveshaft from the PTU flange by pulling on the driveshaft tube. Damage to
the CV-joint can result.

Marker. Center punch.


5. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
• To install, tighten the new bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

6. NOTE: Do not remove driveshaft from the pinion flange by pulling on the driveshaft tube. Damage
to the CV-joint can result.

Marker. Screwdriver.

7. • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Installation

1. NOTE: If a driveshaft is installed and driveshaft vibration is encountered after installation, index the
driveshaft. Refer to Section 205-00 .

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
