Verbs
Verb shows an action.
1. Regular Verbs
Verb that has past and past participle is made by adding d or
ed.

2. Irregular Verbs.

Formation is different from regular Verbs.


Break broke. (past t) broken ( past participle)
Take took. Taken

3. Linking Verbs.
A verb that acts like a link between two words or phrases.
The box is empty.
She remains silent.

4. Transitive Verbs
A verb that needs an object to complete.
He loves his mother.
The boy kicks the ball

5. Intransitive Verbs
A verb that doesn’t need an object to complete.
The girls sleep
He died in an accident.

6. Finite Verbs
The verb form can be changed according to the subject
He acts
I act
They act

7. Infinite verbs
A verb which has -to before it
To be weak is miserable.
To see is to believe.
*Infinite can be used as Nouns and verbs.
