RC Rod Handler Parts List

The purpose of this manual is to detail the BOART LONGYEAR part

numbered items used in the RC Rod Handler. This manual is to be
used as an aid to accurately identify items and their part numbers for
the purposes of ordering spare parts and to assist in understanding
their assembly.

Important Note on Using this Parts Manual

Left and right handed versions of the RC rod handler are available,
depending on the type of rig they are mounted on. The hydraulic and
electrical information is common to both left and right handed versions.
See Appendices A & B for hydraulic and electrical information.

The RC rod handler is designed to fit many different types of drill rigs.
It consists of core components common to all variants and also a rig
specific adaption kit for the rig it is mounted on. Please see Appendix
C for the parts contained in your rig specific adaption kit.

Some components, cylinders for example, contain parts such as seal

kits. Please see Appendix D for part number information.

Ordering and Returning Parts
Ordering Parts

To help us expedite your order and assure correct replacement parts

are supplied please specify the following when placing your order:

1. Name, model and Boart Longyear serial number of the product,

subassembly or component for which the parts are ordered.

2. Boart Longyear part number and description of parts as shown

in this Parts List.

3. Specify the quantity required for each line item.

4. Full shipping instructions:

When required?
Are partial shipments allowed?
Method of shipment? (e.g. Air Parcel Post, Air Freight,
etc.)
Will purchaser be responsible for insurance?
Prepaid or collect?
“Ship to” address?

5. Special instructions, if any.

Returning Parts

Before returning parts or products to Boart Longyear, please obtain

formal authorisation, a Returned Memo Advice (RMA) number, and
“ship to” address (back to Boart Longyear facility) from your Boart
Longyear Customer Service Centre or representative.

You will also need to submit a letter:

• Detailing the reason for requesting the return,

• Indicating the action desired.
• Specifying the quantity and Boart Longyear part numbers of the
product(s) concerned. Where applicable, the MODEL and SERIAL
NUMBER are necessary for proper and full identification.
• Citing the RMA number (if already assigned).

When returning parts or products, the purchaser is responsible for

prepaying any transportation, insurance, and/or delivery charges to a
place designated by Boart Longyear.
