lesson that’s recommended for you in the
Dashboard or browse by learning level. Learn on
the Innovative Language 101 App, on the new
Apple TV app or on the site.
□ 2. Read the Lesson Notes for the Audio or Video
Lesson: Lesson notes provide in-depth
explanations and examples on what you learn.
From vocab, grammar and sample sentences to
cultural notes.
□ 3. Premium PLUS 1-on-1 Learning: Send one
message, question, practice exchange or a voice
recording to your Premium PLUS teacher today.
They’ll answer all questions and provide
corrections and feedback.
□ 4. The Word of the Day: Learn 1 word a day,
quickly, with the Word of the Day e-mail. This is
easy and takes seconds, but helps you build a
routine in the long run.
□ 5. Daily Dose of Language Lessons: Take one Daily

lesson will take only a minute. Learn new words,

site. You’ll find lists for all kinds of topics to learn
new words and phrases. New lists come out all
the time.
□ 8. View Vocab Slideshow: This is a feature inside
the Vocabulary Lists. Instead of reading through,
you can click on View Slideshow and review the
words as they pass by, one by one.
□ 9. Leave a Comment on a Lesson: One great way
to improve fast is simply to participate and use
what you’ve learned. Leave us a comment or a
question and our teachers will get back to you.
□ 10. Listen to the Target Language-ONLY “Dialog
Track”: This is available for every audio lesson
and contains the conversation of that lesson.
It’s purely in the target language so it’s great for
immersion and sharpening your ear.

□ 11. Review The Core Word Lists: As a Premium or

□ 12. Review A Favorite Lesson: Did you know that
you can mark lessons as favorites on the lesson
page? Just click on the heart icon. Then, come
back to the lessons you like for more reviewing.
□ 13. Drill Your Flashcards: You can send vocab and
phrases from lessons, vocab lists and the core
word lists to your Flashcards and create custom
decks. Then drill and study with spaced repetition
Flashcards that track your progress, quiz you on
the hard words and skip the easy ones. Find the
Flashcards in the Study Tools drop-down menu.
□ 14. Review Your Word Bank: This is your personal
collection of words and phrases – a bank where
you can save words to review at a later date.
Review your vocab here or send them to your
Flashcard deck. Find the Word Bank in the Study
Tools dropdown menu.
□ 15. Discover Learning Strategies, Tactics and
Motivational Tricks: As a Premium or Premium
PLUS user, you have access to Inner Circle
lessons – including all of the old ones. Find the
past lessons dating as far back as 2013 inside the
Bonus Courses in the left-hand Browse Lessons
menu.
□ 16. Practice Reading with the Line-by-Line Tool:
This gives you a line-by-line breakdown of the
conversation of any lesson. Read along and listen
to the native audio.
□ 17. Perfect Your Pronunciation with the Line-by
-Line Tool: Click on the microphone next to
each line. You can record and compare yourself
with a native speaker and improve your speaking.
□ 18. Explore Curriculum: Snapshot Review of an
Entire Lesson Series: This is a review of all of the
grammar points and vocab covered in an entire
lesson series. Find this on the lesson series page
and review often. Lots of information inside!
□ 19. Season Vocabulary: Snapshot Review of a
Series’ Vocab: This word list covers ALL of the
vocab introduced in a lesson series. Review, send
the words to your Word Bank or drill them with
Flashcards. Find this on the lesson series page
□ 20. Learn Something New: Check out the newest
audio and video lessons – several come out
every week – and that means non-stop learning
material for you. Find the Newest Lessons in the
Browse Lessons drop-down menu.
□ 21. Try A Harder Lesson: Are you an Absolute
Beginner or Beginner? Try an Intermediate
level lesson simply because taking on a more
challenging lesson results in more progress
for you.
□ 22. Perfect Your Listening Skills with Listening
Video Lessons: These lessons are designed to
expose to you practical conversation and quiz
you on what’s said. Don’t worry, they come with
translations as well. Find these in the Video
Lesson Section under the Bonus Video Courses
category.
□ 23. Listen to Songs in Your Target Language:
Not everything should be a tough task. Listening
to songs is a relaxing, non-intensive way to
expose yourself to the language without taxing
your brain. YouTube is a great source!
□ 24. Watch TV Shows in Your Target Language:
This is another example of non-intensive learning
that still keeps you immersed yet makes learning
enjoyable. I personally use Netflix.
□ 25. Print Out Your WordLists and Lesson Notes as
Physical Material: A lot of our listeners enjoy
having physical study material. You can print out
the Lesson Notes or export the words and
phrases from your Word Bank as PDFs and print
those out as well.
