RITE OF CANONICAL ESTABLISHMENT

Commentator:

We now proceed to the Rite of Canonical Establishment of ST. CLARE OF ASSISI FRATERNITY of the
Secular Franciscan Order.

The local fraternity is to be established canonically. It becomes the basic unit of the whole Order and a
visible sign of the church, the community of love. This should be the privileged place for developing a
sense of Church and the Franciscan vocation and for enlivening the Apostolic life of its members.

Let Us Pray:

We give you praise and thanks, O Lord our God. As we gather here in your name, may our lives together
in fraternity help us to experience the presence of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and to proclaim that
presence to the world by the power of your Holy Spirit so that our joy in St. Francis may come to its
fulfillment. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Please all be seated.

At this point, let us call in GILDA MAHINAY, OFS , the Minister of OFS Samar Region, to read the approval
letter of the MOST REV. EMMANUEL C. TRANCE, DD, Ph.D. of the Diocese of Catarman
FR. PRESCILO A. SALOMON, OFM the Spiritual Assistant of Samar Region of the Secular Franciscan Order,
will now read the Decree of Establishment of the ST. CLARE OF ASSISI FRATERNITY of the Secular
Franciscan Order.

FR. RENEE C. DEAN, OFM, the Minister Custos of the OFM Custody of St. Anthony of Padua - Philippines
with the rest who act as witnesses, will now sign the documents of Canonical Establishment.

FR. ALLAN JOSE L. ARCEBUCHE, OFM will call the members of the newly established fraternity and give
the names of the leaders who constitute the council of the New Fraternity.

We now call on MARGIE SACABEN, OFS, Minister of this newly established fraternity to read the
exhortation from the writings of St. Francis of Assisi.
