Projectile motion on Mathematica

Range of projectile:
Maximum distance which a projectile covers in the horizontal direction is called the range
of projectile.

Then x = 𝑣𝑖𝑥 t+ 𝑎𝑥 𝑡 2 becomes
2
2𝑣
R=𝑣𝑖 𝑐𝑜𝑠𝜃 𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑛𝜃 +0 Y
𝑔
(2𝑠𝑖𝑛𝜃𝑐𝑜𝑠𝜃)
=𝑣𝑖2 v
𝑔
𝑣𝑖2 𝑠𝑖𝑛2𝜃
R= X
𝑔 θ
Maximum Range:
The range of the projectile will be maximum when sin2θ has maximum value.i.e.
sin2θ =1
2θ = sin−1 (1)
2θ =90º
θ =45º
𝑣𝑖2 𝑠𝑖𝑛2𝜃
So, R= becomes
𝑔
𝑣𝑖2 𝑠𝑖𝑛2(45°)
𝑅𝑚𝑎𝑥 =
𝑔
𝑣𝑖2 𝑠𝑖𝑛90°
=
𝑔
𝑣𝑖2
𝑅𝑚𝑎𝑥 =
𝑔
The range of the projectile in term of maximum range is R=𝑅𝑚𝑎𝑥 sin 2𝜃
