Course Description
This course will equip students with an understanding of software ranging from
microsoft word, excell, powerpoint, and adobe programs such as adobe illustrator and
photoshop. It will cover all the essentials for all these programs and also projects that
will improve the skill of using these softwares.

Goals and expectations

In general terms, this course is designed to offer the student an understanding of:
1. An understanding of Microsoft Word’s features covering all the ribbons (Home,
Insert, Design, ext) and projects to create a proper word document for a research
paper.
2. An understanding of Microsoft Excel’s features covering all the ribbons (Home,
Insert, Page Layout, ext) and projects to create a proper excel document for a basic
database.
3. An understanding of PowerPoint’s features covering all the ribbons (Home, Insert,
Design, ext) and projects to create a proper presentation.
4. An understanding for Adobe Illustrator and its essential features to create designs
using shapes and how to use more complex tools such as the pen tool, shape builder
tool, and more.
5. An understanding for Adobe Photoshop and its essential features to create designs
using the crop tool and how to adjust colors.
