I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of this lesson, the students should be able to:

1. Shows understanding of the materials and techniques by artists

2. Identify the techniques used by the artist

3. Create an artwork using local materials and techniques

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Prayer

3. Checking of Attendance

B. Motivation
Picture Analysis
The students will analyze the materials and technique used in the picture.

C. Activity
Graffiti Wall
The students will be grouped into two. Each group will pick one picture and select
the techniques used by the artist in the picture.

D. Analysis
The teacher will ask the following questions to the students and make sure that
maximum participation will be solicited. Answers will be based in the previous task.
1. What are the materials and technique used by the artists?
2. Does their technique and artistic skills bring out the materials they used in their
artwork?
 3. If you are an artist, what material and technique will you use in creating an
artwork? Why?

E. Abstraction
Discussion of the topic
The teacher will discuss the artistic skills and techniques used by the artist in
creating an artwork.

D. Application
The teacher will group the student to create an artwork using the available materials
and techniques by using the rubrics below

Technique 35 points
Creativity 25 points
Craftsmanship 25 points
Effort 15 points
Total 100 points
