PURPOSE VENN DIAGRAM (REFLECTION)

In the reflection from the discussion about the Purpose Venn diagram, I have gained
clarity and provided me with an outline of the career or life situation. This also guides me, that
in choosing what career to take, I must take a look first at some consideration like doing a self-
assessment because I need to be honest with the reflection so that it will help me to understand
what drives to the things which motivate me to take that path or career.
It is clearly stated that Career advice is just a recommendation from successful and well-
experienced people. I understood that most of them are sharing these things that worked in
their life so that I can learn, realize, and adapt it. Hence, when I’m in the situation of deciding
what career to take, I am equipped with the knowledge and ready to apply it.
In the part of combining the individual pieces, I learned when two pieces of advice
overlap, it creates new ideas. Combining the things that I am good at and the things I love
creates passion. A profession is where my strengths meet the desire of others to pay for it. The
mission is when my interests meet world needs. Vocation is when I get paid for the content I
bring to the needs of the world.
When I go deeper into understanding the whole picture, the concept appears a clear
picture of something that I need to take part in it. It implies to me that I need to help and serve
others, especially what the world needs. To be a successful person, I must be able to share my
strengths with others so that I can be paid for it. And also, strengths are not enough for me to
succeed. I must know what I really want so that I can consider this as a path to take in the
future. Also, I can gain experience from it.
In conclusion, I learned that it is always possible to be successful in different careers.
Working with a purpose is considered as an edge for me because it builds a balance of what I
love to do, what are my strength, as well as providing care and values for other while I get paid
for it.
