BASIC LOGIC GATES

ACTIVITY 1
COURSE CODE: CPE 004 PROGRAM:

COURSE TITLE: Logic Circuits and Switching DATE PERFORMED:

SECTION: Theory DATE SUBMITTED:

INSTRUCTOR:
STUDENT NAME:

OBJECTIVE:

This activity aims to demonstrate the operation and truth table of the basic logic gates such as
AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR and XNOR.

DISCUSSION:

INSTRUCTION:

1. Research on the internal circuitry and Pin Configurations of all Basic Logic Gates
Integrated Circuits (IC).
2. Simulate the function of each logic gate in Logic.ly and plot the output in a truth table.
3. Simulate the operation of each logic gate IC in TinkerCAD by connecting the inputs, wires,
electronic components, and output correctly following the pin configuration of the IC.
4. Write a summary of all your findings/results in form of a table, by following the given
sample format:

5. Create the truth table of each basic logic gate based on the simulations, follow this format:
