Sociology is concerned with social activities. All human relations are related to the study of
sociology. Sociology is a study of the organization, roles, and problems of human groups.
Therefore, all social phenomena of some sort fall within the realm of sociology. Sociological
knowledge is as broad as social ties are. Knowledge should be incorporated in the description of
all social activities. There are, however, some very critical aspects of social life in which

Agriculture

Agriculture is the foundation of the economy. Around 68% of our population is engaged in it.
Self-sufficiency in particular agricultural products has not been reached. The key trigger is the
old custom cake, which firmly grips the land cultivation system. Illiteracy, superstition, lack of
knowledge on modern methods of cultivation, and lack of access to agricultural machinery are
significant obstacles to agricultural development. Advanced forms of seed are not available to

behavioural change of contact, change the conventional attitude of farmers.

They establish a tendency towards mechanized farming among farmers, while rural sociology
provides techniques for students. The main objective is to increase the yield per acre. Small yield
per acre is the most critical problem in agriculture. We would be able to solve this problem by
embracing new technology. Sociology students help people to include the latest knowledge on
new seeds and inspire them to sow them on a trial basis. After a useful result, people will
ultimately embrace the original seed.

Commerce And Industry

Industrial ties are of considerable significance to industrial sociology students. The relationship
between the workers and the owners needs the attention of the sociologists. If workers go on
strike or the mill owners lock their mills, the social situation is tense. Sociologists come along
and make the mills go into arbitration between the owners and the workers. They also set up a
social security program for the welfare of workers.

Business Or Trade

Sociology also has a position in the field of trade and industry, sociologists improve the disposal
of consumer goods through promotional initiatives and increase the quality of products so that
demand can be increased (get faster, get faster). Wise (wise) and rational advertising is necessary
for the disposal of products in developing societies. Sociologists are also interested in planning
feasibility reports and evaluating people’s expectations and desires before introducing a new
product.
Health

Sociologists are now working on setting up prescription stores and blood banks for patients in

After a close study of their social life and disease, sociologists change their attitude by engaging
with them before they respond to medical care. Students of sociology are beneficial in the
diagnosis of neurosis, in the rehabilitation of drug users, and in the provision of free medicine to
needy patients who are employees of Medial Social Welfare.

Planning Of Population

Several sociology students are doing population-based work. Sociologists can inspire a person
more than anyone else to manage the expansion of the population. They play a decisive role in
the implementation of birth control practices.

Social Welfares

Sociologists are funded by the Department of Social Welfare, Women Development & Bait-ul-
Mal, and the Government of Punjab to carry out the following programs. Child welfare
association, youth clubs, neighbourhood council for the aged, women’s associations, industrial
home for the homeless, infant and maternity centre, T.B. Center, orphanage centres, infant
abducted treatment. Also, there are a variety of other studies carried out during the war and peace
and disasters in rural and urban areas.

Social Policy, Development, And Planning

The value of social policy has been recognized at the national and international levels.
Governmental and international donor organizations are now focusing on a successful social
strategy rather than just giving money. Sociologists are very critical of these policy-making
organizations. Publicity management, on the other hand, is an essential field in sociology. The
need for sociologists is growing in regional planning and growth schemes. The services of
sociologists are needed in the growth of cities. Sociologists serve on planning committees and
administrative posts.

Aspects Of Social Interaction

Social Status

Social status is a recognized social role of a person in a social situation. In common usage, the
rank may indicate the power, prestige, and privileges associated with one’s position. Status is
also a key component of one’s identity and thus of interaction. Occupation is a significant part of
people’s social introduction and interaction. Though a long time after retirement, people want to
apply themselves to the work of their lives. There are some other concepts related to social
status.

Role And Social Construction Of Reality

The role is the expected behaviour of someone who holds a particular status. An individual holds
status and performs a function according to it. There are several other aspects of a role like:

social interaction, we negotiate the fact, i.e., some agreement about what is going on, though
people may have different perceptions of the event.
Communication

Communication is another essential component of interaction for which we need to have a

language –verbal as well as non-verbal. Human beings create symbols, signs and codes which
they associate with the realities of life. Such symbols, symbols and codes stand for fact or
phenomena (material / non-material), they are not the phenomena itself. Meanings that are
attached to the symbols, there is some agreement on such meanings. Meanings can be situation
based and may vary by different cultures. In order to memorize all these concepts, you should
