primarily describes the “ignorance” and “stubbornness” of the
non-Christian Filipinos. According from its primary source, de
Morga explains that in terms of religion among early Filipinos,
they neglected the discovery of God and instead, they let

is mainly ethnocentric. As someone who is not a native Filipino,

he commented and described the community as ignorant, he did
not accept the Filipino culture and stood according to his
firsthand experiences and culture as Spaniard. The personal
experience of Antonio de Morga manifests the whole documents,
making as feel unhappy about the beliefs of the early Filipinos.
