Sound Absorption Recording Sheet

Instructions:
1. Prepare one phone installed with a sound meter app (to
measure the sound decibel) and another device (laptop or
phone or tablet) installed with tone generator app.
2. Set a tone frequency on the sound generator app to be
measured later using the sound meter. Play the tone.
3. Open the sound meter app and start measuring the tone
generated by the app
4. Record the result from your sound meter app in the table
below.

5. Repeat step 1 and 2, then cover your phone (sound generator

app) with two layers of towel.
6. Play the tone, measure with the sound meter then record your
result in the table below.

7. Repeat step 1 and 2 again, then cover your phone (sound

generator app) with four layers of towel
8. Play the tone, measure with the sound meter then record your
result in the table below.

 9. Repeat step 1 and 2 again, then put your phone (sound
generator app) inside the food container one.
10. Play the tone, measure with the sound meter then record
your result in the table below.
