THE ALAMANDA

Plot
Elyra, Lyan, and Luna are three best friends. they always spend time together. The
story begins when they decide to go on vacation from their school holidays to a new
villa they met on their social media page, The Alamanda Vila. however, the vacation
they felt was not a pleasant vacation they received lessons from the events they got
while at the villa. starting from the missing ring to Luna being expelled from the villa.
With this incident their friendship was tested. and can be a lesson for themselves in the
future.
Character
DILA AS Elyra : female, 19. elyra is a good girl from a rich family. loves his mother very
much.
DEWI AS Lyan : female, 19. lyan is a quiet person, and forgetful and careless person
TIRA AS Luna : female, 19 is a wise girl and a reminder to her two friends.
Shoppkeeper : female, 30.
SCENE 1
TIME : SUNDAY MORNING
SETTINGS : ELYRA'S BEDROOM, DRESSER, SOFA NEAR WINDOW.
AT RISE : NICE BEDROOM. DRESS IN FRONT OF THE BED. COMFORTABLE
SOFA NEAR THE WINDOW RIGHT THE BED. WHITE CARPET ON THE
FLOOR WITH SMALL PILLOWS. SMALL TABLE NEAR THE BED FULL
OF LOW FAT FOOD.
IN THE DRESSER MANY MAKE UP AND ACCESSORIES.
(LYAN, she lies down while playing with her cellphone, she sings
occasionally. In front of the dresser ELYRA is focusing on doing routine
make-up. LUNA, she is sitting in the chair next to the window, she is
reading a youth novel. They are busy with their own activities)

(LYAN, Singing in a whispering voice while holding her cell phone, she lay
down on the bed. Then she started talking to her two friends)

LYAN

Are we on vacation? I'm bored we're going to school soon.

 (ELYRA, Sitting in front of the dresser doing her make up routine, she was
applying lipstick, she repliying LYAN by covering the lipstick she was
already wearing)

ELYRA

Of course we are on vacation, we are leaving in two days, what do you think?
(LYAN, puts down the cellphone that is being played while looking at
ELYRA who walks towards the bed that LYAN is sleeping on)

LYAN
I agree we leave in two days. So where are we going on vacation?
( LUNA, stood up from the sofa putting the novel she was reading on the
sofa, she walked to take a snack that was near the bed and joined LYAN
and ELYRA on ELYRA's bed)

LUNA
Don't know, do you have any ideas?
(ELYRA, she is lying down and staring at the ceiling of her room)
ELYRA
We're camping in the mountains, so we can get some fresh air, what do you think?
(she continues eating while shaking her head and laughing)

LUNA
ELYRA, you're kidding right? (laughs amused), you can't even go up the stairs to the
fifth floor, you want to go up the mountain? So where are we going to sleep?
(LYAN, she sits up from her sleep)
LYAN
What do you eat? I want.
(Points to the food that LUNA is holding. LUNA shrugs not knowing and
shares the food she ate with LYAN)

(She eats the snack)

Is this proxied food in california? I just tried it for the first time.
(Eats the snack with a happy smile)
(ELYRA, still in her sleeping position)
ELYRA
Yes, it's made in California. My parents just got back from California, they were there
two days for a meeting. They brought a lot of food.
(LUNA puts the snacks she finished eating in their original place)
LUNA
I have an idea we go to California, then to Malibu Beach. What do you think guys?
(ELYRA, he gets up from his sleeping position, sits down he talks
excitedly)
ELYRA
Good idea, my parents said in Malibu there is a nice villa called ALAMANDA VILA.
(LYAN opens his cellphone and shows a picture to LUNA and ELYRA.

SETTINGS: IN FRONT OF ELYRA'S HOUSE, READY TO LEAVE, GET IN THE CAR.
PACKING ITEMS
AT RISE : A BRIGHT MORNING, THE THREE FRIENDS PREPARE THE THINGS HE
WILL BRING AND PUT IN THE CAR
(lyan lifted the bag he was holding to put in the car and asked her friend)
LYAN
Whose bag is this?
(holding the cellphone while pointing the camera to take a picture of
himself)
ELYRA
This is my bag lyan,
(exited Elyra's house and started heading to the car with the cellphone
charger he brought)
LUNA
don't you know, lyan, yesterday, Luna showed it through our group chat!
(holding his forehead like a confused person)

Oh I didn't really pay attention to what Luna was talking about yesterday…
 (looking at luna who just came out of her house, while lifting her bag and
puts the cellphone into the small bag he is holding and starts to enter the
car)
ELYRA
Have you got your charger? let's go immediately so we don't meet at night on the way
(wrinkles face and starts to turn on his ipad)
LUNA
Elyra, you drive the car first, I want to collect my assignments first I will replace you later
(looks at Elyra who sits beside her to get ready to drive the car)
LYAN
If I could drive a car, I would drive to the front of the villa, ra
(puts on seat belt and starts driving)

ELYRA
Don't worry, I will really enjoy this trip so take it easy, if I get tired of driving this car I will
tell you and Luna can bring it for us, or we can rest for a while in the rest area and drink
a cup of coffee, right Luna?
(looks at the ipad and chuckles at lyan who often forgets to wear his seat
belt)
LUNA
Of course elyra, Lyan you don't forget to wear safety fight
(turns around and looks at Luna who is sitting in the middle of the car and
is busy collecting her tasks)

TIME : TUESDAY AFTERNOON
SETTING: AFTERNOON IN FRONT OF VILLA ALAMANDA
AT RISE : THE BEAUTIFUL VILLA, AND START REMOVING THE THINGS FROM
THE CAR PARK THE CAR IN THE PARK OF
ELYRA SLEEPING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAR, LUNA WHO WAS A LITTLE
FATIGUE FROM DRIVING AND LYAN WHO WAS PHOTOGRAPHING Twilight
BEHIND THE WINDOW OF THE CAR
(opens the car door and starts walking towards the trunk of the car)
LUNA
Finally we have arrived, apparently elyra is still asleep, this is a long and tiring journey,
Lyan let's take out the bag, my body is very tired , I can't wait to lay myself in bed in
there.
((wake up Elyra gently)

LYAN
Elyra, I know you are very tired but it has arrived at this beautiful villa, wake up and
watch the sunset that has just fallen.
(gets out of bed and starts getting out of the car)
ELYRA
This is a very short sleep, lyan, it feels like I've only been lying down for 5 minutes
(looks at Elyra with a tired looking face)
LUNA
Ra, have you booked a room?
(lifts his bag and starts walking towards the villa)
ELYRA
Of course, I ordered a special room for us to stay in, the view is very beautiful, we can
see the sunset from behind the bedroom window, interesting isn't it?
 (smiles at lyan)

LUNA
I'm sure your cellphone memory will be full while we're here lyan
(replying to Luna's smile with a tickling laugh)
LYAN

SCENE 4

TIMES ; TUESDAY , 9.PM

SETTINGS ; IN SHOPS AROUND VILLA ALAMANDA
AT RISE : THREE FRIENDS WALK AROUND THE SMALL SHOPS NOT FROM THE
ALAMANDA VILLA USING THICK JACKETS.
(Pulls hand into the pocket of the thick jacket with a shivering style)

LYAN
This place is very cold, luckily I brought warm clothes that my mother prepared
yesterday
(looks at Lyan who is trying to rub his palms)
LUNA
One way to ward off this cold weather is by eating hot soup and drinking a cup of hot
coffee, my mother always brings it/serves it to me when winter comes
(walks towards the antique shop happily)
ELYRA
Oh yes I remember, I have to buy something for my mother, I'm sure this way my
mother will be very happy.
(looks at each other in amazement, and follows Elyra who enters the shop)
LUNA, LYAN
What is she doing ?
(Points into a glass cabinet full of antique jewelry)
ELYRA
How much is this ?
(takes the ring from the glass cupboard and starts showing it to elyra)
SHOOPKEEPER
this is called benedetha ring, made of red diamond so it's an antique ring, the price is
20$ USD,
ELYRA : I bought it.

SCENE 5

TIME : WEDNESDAY MORNING

SETTING: IN THE ROOM OF VILLA ALAMANDA
AT RISE: LUNA WHO IS STILL SLEEPING DELAY BECAUSE OF FATIGUE, LYAN
WHO IS BUSY PLAYING HANDPHONE IN THE CHAIR NEAR THE BIG WINDOW OF
THE ROOM, AND ELYRA IS GETTING STARTED TO BATH.
(takes toiletries and starts to go to the bathroom)
ELYRA
Lyan, later if someone knocks on the door, please open it, because it's the villa staff
who will deliver food for us!
(make the code "ok" with his right hand)
LYAN
ok ra…
LYAN (continued)
(talking to himself, and starting to take the ring from Elyra's bag, when he was about to
put it in his own bag he heard a sound from the door so he dropped it into Luna's bag)

(pushes the food cart into the room and starts preparing it on the table)
OFFICER:
Excuse me, I brought you breakfast, there are sandwiches and warm thea to cheer up
your morning.

(coming out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her wet hair)
ELYRA
Wow, apparently, the food has arrived, I was just about to confirm down if the food
hasn't arrived yet, thank you for the food
(turn around and leave the room)
OFFICER
Yes, we delivered it on time, I have to go back downstairs, excuse me
(wake up luna with a small smile)

ELYRA
Luna, wake up from your sleep, look at this hot sandwich and tea staring at you
(wake up from his sleep and started to sit on the smooth bed with his mind
still wandering)
LUNA

(smiles back at his two best friends)
ELYRA

(picks up jacket and starts out quickly towards the shop where he bought
the ring)

or i may be wrong, or missed it in the store. i'll check there first,

 (shouting towards Elyra who has disappeared quickly)

LUNA

be careful yes, hope you get the ring, the time of the ring could lost by itself

(trying to hide what really happened)

LYAN

i'm also surprised, but there's only three of we are here, and no one can enter.

SCENE 6

TIME : FEW MINUTES AGO

SETTINGS ; IN THE ROOM

AT RISE ; LUNA JUST GETS OUT OF THE BATH, AND LYAN WHO WAS STANDING
BY THE BIG WINDOW OF THE VILLA'S ROOM

(opens the bedroom door sadly)

ELYRA

I still can't find it, it's like I'm the one who put it wrong

(feeling sad to see the sadness on his friend's face)

LUNA

oh my god, where is the ring?

(Lyan started the idea she had planned)

LYAN

Elyra, I got the ring

ELYRA, LUNA

where is lyan?

(points to the bag with transparent style belonging to luna)

LYAN:

try to look at luna's bag

 (looks disappointedly at Luna)

EYRA :

LUNA ?

(trying to heat up the atmosphere by pretending to look disappointedly at

Luna who was wondering what was happening)

LYAN :

Luna I think you're a good friend why you try to steal the ring from luna's bag, even
when luna is already good with you

(trying to convince the two friends who looked disappointed to know all this)

LUNA :

Elyra, Lyan. I swear i was not the one taking the ring, I don't know why the ring could be
in my bag.

(looks at Luna with anger)

ELYRA :

where could the ring can walk on their own to your bag, luna?

(looks at Elyra sadly)

LUNA

Elyra. you also don't believe in me?

(Elyra looks angry mixed with disappointment looking at her friend who is
trying to convince her)

ELYRA :

Luna why do you do this to me, you know that ring is very precious to me, with that ring i
can see my mom's smile again, but why do you even take it?

(trying to feel sad and disappointed for what Luna did)

LYAN :

you should not do that to elyra, was not elyra too good to you?
 (now Luna feels devastated and very disappointed because her good
friends don't believe her)

LUNA

I don't know what to say again, but i honestly don't take the ring from you,

(trying to get rid of luna)

LYAN :

you should get out of here Luna, because Elyra needs time to accept the truth when
her best friend could do this to her

(Luna goes out of the room with her bags and gets the ring and gives it to
elyra)

LUNA

that's ok if you want elyra, but i respeat once again where i could be about my own
friend.

(trying to keep calm on her self in the chair)

ELYRA

I still don't believe Lyan, Luna can do all that, it's like a dream.

(convincing Elyra with what just happened)

LYAN :

that's so Luna, you can't know how your friends really feeling/nature, even if you do
good, because we can't know what is trying to stab us from ra's back.

(Elyra looks calm)

ELYRA

thank you Lyan, you've try to be a good friend for me

(Lyan lied again but sad about what she did)

LYAN

I would not believe a good friend like you luna.

someone knocked the door…

(open the door, staying confused at the officers)

ELYRA

sorry, what do you need?

SECURITY

we have a report that things are lost here, you have get evidence from the report.

(elyra is again confused with what the security officer says)

ELYRA

(gives the handphone to elyra)

SECURITY

(shocked watching the video taken by the officer delivered the food to their
room this morning)

ELYRA

Lyan? you ?

(Lyan regrets the things that have done)

LYAN

Elyra, yes I do it and I know I was wrong, I'm sorry Elyra

(Elyra shocked after watching the video looking at lyan with full
disappointment)

ELYRA

but why did you do it Lyan, you also accured luna of doing all of this..
 (Lyan trying to story why she do all of this)

honestly, i do this for my sick boy sister, luna, i have no other way because she needs

(Elyra back goting sad at Lyan)

road everyone will be disappointed lyan, elyra, me, even your own brother will be
disappointed with you,

(Elyra gives herself to the officers for carrying)

LYAN

I'm aware of this evil thing Elyra, i'm sorry, I deserve to be punished

(Elyra holds Lyan who want to follow the security officer, and asked the
officer to leave them both because this was just a form of
misunderstanding)

ELYRA

no Lyan, i know you're a good girl, you're honest i forgive you Lyan

(Lyan very regrets her does, respects elyra's nature)

LYAN

 SCENE 7

TIMES ; AFTERNOON

SETTING : IN THE BEACH NEAR FROM THE ALAMANDA VILLA

AT RISE : LYAN AND ELYRA FIND LUNA WHO WAS SITTING ON THE BEACH
ALONE, LOOKING AT THE ORANGE CLOSE

ELYRA

LUNA?

(Luna shocked because two friends are right behind her)

LUNA

ELYRA, LYAN, are you here?

(Lyan hugs Luna WITH GUILT)

LYAN

Luna i'm sorry to you, I take the ring and drop it in your bag, i really regret luna, i'm not a
good friend this.

(Luna trying to cool Lyan who feel sad and guaranteed)

LUNA

Lyan, i forgive you. i also know you would put it in my bag. i have see that when you
take it and i know you need it because of your brother, you're not wrong, it's because of
the circumstances that makes you do it. i know you are really a good friend Lyan.

(Elyra hugs both friends again)

ELYRA :

yes Lyan we're both forgive you, i'm sure you're doing like this because there's a
particular purpose and purpose that makes you really to take it
 (Lyan feel happy because her friends want to forgive her)

LYAN

Thank you my best friends, i am really blinded by that evil, i hope you can still be my
friends

ELYRA

of course Lyan, Me and Luna are your friends

LUNA

yes, friends forever.

LYAN

Thank you

(They laughed together and looked at the sunset from villa Alamanda.)
