What is Testing
• Is the process or method use to measure
the level of learner’s achievement, it also
refers to the administration, scoring and
interpretation of data from the test results.
What is High Stakes Testing
• High-stakes tests are tests used to make important
decisions about students. These include whether
students should be promoted, allowed to graduate, or
admitted to programs.
• Examples of high-stakes tests include college entrance
examinations, high/secondary school exit examinations,
and professional licensing examinations.
What is Standardized Testing
A standardized test is any form of test that (1)
requires all test takers to answer the same
questions, or a selection of questions from
common bank of questions, in the same way, and
that (2) is scored in a “standard” or consistent
manner, which makes it possible to compare the
relative performance of individual students or
groups of students.
