aurelioalvero • was born on October 15, 1914 at No. 10 Santiago de Vera Street
in Tondo, Manila
• died on March 15, 1958 at Chinese General Hospital
• exemplified his interest in letters at Ateneo de Manila High
School as he was a writer in Guidon, the official student newspaper
of the school
• after finishing his secondary education, he studied at the College
of Liberal Arts of the University of Santo Tomas where he took a
course leading to an Associate in Arts degree
• as a student, Alvero submitted poems to the literary section of the
Varsitarian, the school organ of the pontifical university
• a poet, lawyer, educator, essayist, and novelist

and Emilio had five children, namely, Emilio
Teodoro, Jesus, Fredesvindo, Miguel, and Aurelio
who was the eldest among his brothers

• he married his second wife, Lucila Bugarin

Atacador, a teacher at the University of Santo Tomas.
They had two children, Rosa Gandahari and Aurelio
Magtanggul.
