Topic # 1: Write an essay that describes where you went for
your Morazan holiday.

Unfortunately, we are a family where we do not go out to

tourist places much, we are merchants and we have a
business and where we take advantage of the veins since it
is a secluded place where sales are very low and there are
few buyers and at this time as it is the coffee season many
foreign people gather to buy their basic things.

Topic # 2: Think about a celebrity you admire.

Waris Dirie

She is a celebrity where she inspires me to fight for the

rights of each one of the children of Africa, the
protagonist of a movie called “Flower of the Desert”, her
story has moved millions of people.

A girl born in the desert of Somalia, daughter of a nomadic

family. When she was five years old, she had a female
circumcision when her father wanted to force her to marry a
man much older than her, she decided to flee, until she
reached Mogadishu and then London.

She worked in the home of relatives until she was finally

discovered as a model. One fine day, a famous photographer
discovers her on the street and here begins Waris'
professional career as a model, which will lead him to the
covers of the most important fashion and women's magazines
in the world.

Appointed in 1997 special ambassador of the United Nations,

in favor of the rights of women and children in Africa,
Waris Dirie was the one who shocked the international
public with her first book The Flower of the Desert, an
autobiographical book.
He was an Esteller in many countries; and in 2002 Dawn in
the desert, also autobiographical, where he recounts his
terrible personal experience. In 2001, she created the
Desert Dawn Foundation, aimed at helping Somali children
and ending the practice of female genital mutilation.

The book DAWN IN THE DESERT transmits his great love and
admiration for his mother, his deep nomadic and African
roots (it is said that he remains nomadic even in his life
in the big cities), as well as his enormous desire to fight
against the injustices, especially with regard to women,
which continue to occur in Somalia and many other African
countries.
