IMPORTANT NOTES TO TENDERER

1. GENERAL

1.1 The site and terrain shall be studied closely and all physical constraints notes and priced for.

1.2 Close co-ordination is expected with the Main Contractor and other NSCs especially with respect
to the work schedule, openings (where builder’s work is not already done), cable routes &
crossings and cable entry into buildings and layout / levels of positioning of the various services.

1.3 The successful tenderer is expected to commence work immediately on notification.

1.4 Notes appearing in one drawing apply to other drawings, where applicable.

1.5 Where hacking and subsequent remedial works are necessary, such works shall be priced for
as allowed in the BQ

1.6 The successful tenderer is required to liase closely with JKR Caw. Electrical on all proposed
schedule work to obtain final positions of the fittings, etc. as the drawings are only indicative of
the positions of the fittings.

1.7 All tender documents, specifications, Appendices, BQ, material lists, etc. shall be carefully and
completely filled.

1.8 Suitable fire barriers, approved by the S.O’s Rep. shall be installed at all floor levels and at floor /
wall openings, between the cable ladders / cable trays / trunking / conduits / cabling and the floor
/ wall.

2. TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The successful Tenderer shall nominate an experience specialist contractor to undertake all
associated telecommunication works and submit a valid copy of PKK and / or Kementerian
Kewangan’s registration certificate accordingly, within 4 weeks upon awarding of this tender. The
specialist Contractor shall satisfy the registration requirement, where necessary, as follows :

i) Telecommunication Wiring Specialist :

PKK registration : Head VIII


Subhead 1(a), 1(b) and 1(c)

ii) Telecommunication Infrastructure Specialist :

PKK registration : Head I

3. DRAWINGS & CATALOGUES

3.1 All drawings in the Tender Document are not mean to be working drawings. They are meant for
TENDERING PURPOSE ONLY.

3.2 Certain equipment itemized in the Bills of Quantity (BQ) may not appear in the drawings.
Tenderers are advised to price for such items in the BQ as such items would be required.

3.3 Tenderers are remained to submit catalogues for items mentioned or marked with an asterisk (*)
in the Senarai Jenama Barangan Electric (manufacturer’s Brand Names). Failure to do so, may
be interpreted as non-compliances with specifications.

3.4 The successful tenderer shall submit actual working drawing / shop drawing of all installation,
including relevant calculations / measurement, graphs, etc for the approval of actual fabrication
the S.O representative prior to actual fabrication / installation

4. COMPLETION DATE

The completion date for Main Contractor is


Tenderers shall take note of the completion date and thus the completion period offered for this
tender shall therefore be reflective of the above completion date.

PROVISION IN THE PRELIMINARIES

1. Provision for implementing the Critical Patch Method (CPM) programmed for planning,
monitoring and control of resources and progress of work.

a) Item on implementing the CPM programmed for planning of resources and progress of work
should be allowed in the Preliminaries and this is to include :
i) Trained and qualified personnel to maintain and update the programmed

ii) Planning using the CPM programmed

iii) Providing softwares for JKR which is to be retained by JKR after the completion of the
project

b) Weekly / monthly submission of the reports to JKR inclusive of all updated data in computer
medium and printed hard copies. The S.O may instruct reports to be produced at more frequent
interval.

c) The identification of critical part for the timely execution of the work to completion

d) A detail programmed which would identify the requirements of every possible resources for the
successful implementation of at least six (6) months of work for assisting everyone concern in
planning their associated activities

2. Types of soft ware

For the purpose of monitoring and revising the programmed, for projects costing less than RM 50 million,
the latest version of MICROSOFT PROJECT 2000 or equivalent is utilized. Apart from the above
reasons, the use of this software is to facilitate transfer of information on the project from one section to
another through internet linking or other conventional means.

It is proposed that software like PRIMAVERA PROJECT PLANNING (P3e) or equivalent to be utilized for
project which are of value greater than RM50M or projects which incorporates a lot of scopes and
milestones.
