Feng Kaixuan, a performer, photographer, and also a painter, constructs bridges

between traditional and contemporary art, Feng Kaixuan's work was focused mostly on
her painting using a coffee filter or hair that she can transform into Chinese Fan-Shape
prints or to transpose traditional techniques in everyday spaces. The coffee trace
creates a hidden landscape on a sheet of paper. Feng Kaixuan combines body art with
calligraphy in her works. The Chinese artist provides them with ink and creates
paintings on the filter. In her performance titled Ink Hair, Feng Kaixuan used her hair to
become a brush and draw a giant symbol The artist calls the Ink Hair performance a
ritual, it is the chance to experience transformation and reincarnation. Feng Kaixuan
tries to create a connection between life and art. Everyday life objects often reflect in
her work the transition from the private to the public.
