The Three Races that First Settled in Philippines

The People in the Philippines, came outside in the wave of migration, first arrived traversing land bridges
that emerged during low tide, and later arrived by sea on prehistoric craft like the balanghai. The first
wave 250,000 years ago are the Homo Erectus, the second wave between 25,00 and 30,00 years ago are
the Negritos, third wave they are more developed than the previous migrants they are the Indonesian,
And the fourth wave, they are who raised the archipelago from stone age into Iron age they are the
Malay.

The Three Races that First Settled in Philippines

1. Negritos (Aeta)
- They are the first people who occupied the Philippines.
- They are very small people about 5ft with dark skin and curly brown hair, they survived
through hunting.
- In this earlier times they widespread throughout the Philippines, Negritos live in the remote
highland areas of Luzon, Palawan, Panay, Negros, and Mindanao
2. Indonesians
-they are first immigrants came in the Philippines by sea, Indonesians are more developed than
the previous migrants because they used stone tool and were seafarers, they also paint their
bodies
- They are two types of Indonesians: first is Indonesians are tall, with light skin, large forehead,
high nose, and thin lips, seconds is Indonesians are Shorter and darker, large nose, thick lips.
- They are spreading in Apayao, Kalingas, Manobo, Tirurays, Gaddangs, Tagbanuas, Mandyas,
Sabanuns, Ibanags, Bagobos, Bukidnon

3. Malay
-They came after Indonesians
-Malay are medium in height, browned-skinned with dark eyes, flat nose, and straight black hair.
- They were civilized than Indonesians
-They lived by agriculture, fishing, mining, and trading.
