TEST PAPER

1. Read the text below and choose the correct answer.

HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS

Some towns on the English coast have only small populations in winter, but in summer there
come the thousands and thousands of tourists. Most people in Britain have at least two weeks to
spend their holiday. July and August are the most popular months for holidays and there is also a lot
of traffic on the roads to the seaside.

In the south west of England, one can find small villagers for fishing purposes and also for a
peace and quiet period. In the north east of England you can walk along the coast of
Northumberland without meeting anyone at all. On the south coast you can enjoy the sun and the
beautiful beaches of the English Riviera.

If you prefer a holiday with a lot of people and a lot of fun then you can go to a big holiday
resort like Blackpool on the west coast of England or Brighton on the south coast. Or maybe you
would like to spend your holiday in a camp. You can find them all over the country, especially near
the popular resorts. In a camp you have dances, parties, special arrangements for children and a lot
of games and sport.
