Notice
Applications are invited for Spot Round for admissions to M. Tech 2021 (2-year programme) against the
seats remaining vacant after CCMT 2021 admissions.
Please note that those who have got admission to any Institute through CCMT 2021 are not eligible to
apply for the Institute Spot Round of admissions in M. Tech 2021 at NIT Raipur.

Eligibility: - The applicant must have a valid GATE-score but must not have taken admission to any
institute through CCMT 2021. The eligibility for admission shall be the same as those in CCMT 2021.
The applicants are, therefore, to go through the CCMT 2021 information brochure carefully before
applying (Available here: https://ccmt.nic.in/WebInfo21/File/ViewFile?FileId=10&LangId=P)
In case, sufficient number of candidates with valid GATE-score are not available against vacant seat(s) in
a specialization then Non-GATE candidates can also be considered. For such candidates the other
eligibility criteria, except GATE-score, shall remain the same as those of CCMT 2021. Such candidates
will have to appear in an exam/Interview in the respective department, the mode and date of which shall
be announced later.

The information sheet, digital application form, undertaking and formats for category certificate can be
downloaded from the links given below in Annexures 1-4. The amount and mode of fee payment for the
spot round is mentioned both in the application form and the information sheet, and the applicants
must enter the payment details in terms of SBI-Collect reference number in the application form. Kindly
refer to this for assistance.
The applications will be received in the given mail addresses of respective departments (given in next
page) from 15.10.2021 to 25.10.2021 through e-mail only. Applicants must note that the branch-wise
list of applications received will be displayed in the Institute website by 28.10.2021. Applicants must
check whether their applications have been received or not. In case of any discrepancy, the applicants
need to inform through email by 30.10.2021 to the respective email ids where they have submitted the
form. Beyond this date, no request will be entertained. Kindly note that:
1. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
2. Applications without the payment of requisite fee (of INR 20,500=00) will be rejected.
3. Applications received in e-mail after 25.10.2021 (even if the payment is made earlier) will also be
rejected. Hence it is advised to make payment well beforehand so that the e-mail submission could
be within the stipulated time mentioned above.

Important Instructions
The tentative available vacancy after CCMT rounds of admission in NIT Raipur is provided here. In case no
PH (PWD) candidates applies in available PH vacancies then these seats will be converted to respective
category. After conversion, the sliding of the candidates already admitted at NIT Raipur shall be carried out
first and then the remaining vacancies shall be filled by ‘SPOT-ROUND’ applications.
The applicants must digitally fill (type in) the pdf form on their PCs/smartphones/similar devices as the
form is a fill-able PDF form and information has to be entered directly by opening the form in any pdf

reader. Please type-in the information carefully in the form and save the form with your first name and
mobile number as “first name_mobile number.pdf”.
Please do not print the blank form and/or fill manually with pen.
A. Prepare a single (merged) pdf file of documents as mentioned in the form of the following
documents:
1. UID/Aadhar, 2. Qualification and category (if applicable) related documents, 3. Proof of payment
and 4. GATE Score card of 2019/2020/2021 (if applicable).
B. Applicants are required to attach one passport sized color photograph (image file).
C. If the applicant is eligible for admission to more than one specialization under a department, she/he
may indicate her/his order of preference in application form. There is no need to fill separate form for
each specialization.
Please note that Transfer, Migration and Character certificate, in original, from the Head of Institution
studied last must be produced at the time of Interview or admission as instructed later, if selected.
Arrange the (i) duly filled form, (ii) one passport sized photograph (iii) single set of all documents as
mentioned in Point A above and send these three attachments (complete in all respect) via one and single e-
mail to the respective mail addresses given below on or before 25.10.2021. The subject line of the e-mail
should bear the name of the applicant appended with “M.Tech. 2021 SPOT Round Application” to
facilitate easy retrieval from e-mail inbox. Please note that the receipt of the mail will be treated as final
submission, as agreed upon to all terms and conditions, by the applicant and will be binding to the applicant.
Mere submission of the application form only does not entitle an applicant to claim a seat in the programme.

they have submitted the form. Beyond this date, no request will be entertained.
3. The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed in the Institute website www.nitrr.ac.in and no
intimation will be sent to the candidates by post/email. The candidates are advised to visit Institute
website regularly.
