Simple Present Tense

The simple present is used to express habits or repeated actions.

 The nurse walks to the hospital every morning.
The simple present is used to express general statement of fact.
 It rains a lot in Portland.
The simple present is used for events or situations that exist always,usually
or habitually in the past, present and future.
 The sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
The simple present is used to describe events that are scheduled (bynature or
by people)

The simple present is used to tell stories to make your listener or
reader feel more engaged with the story.
