PE 4
Reflection Paper

During the finals period, our professor has taught us the basics of shooting the basketball. At
first, I find it boring because of the slow shooting motion, but I realized that it significantly
improved my free throw shooting. Before the pandemic I was not a very good free throw
shooter, shooting 8/15 from the line every single game. As I improved my shooting form, I
started to hit my shoots consistently and with ease even when guarded by tall defenders
whenever I play basketball outside with my peers. I could see the significant improvement of
my basketball skills during this pandemic and would continue on improving my skill sets even
after we finished PE 4.

I would like to thank our professor/coach for reminding us that practicing the basic basketball
drills could help us improve our skills in basketball. “Hard work beats talent, when talent
doesn’t work hard” that is the motto that I have lived with because I could be better than
most players if I spend my time practicing and perfecting my skills with all my efforts in an
attempt to improve and be better.
