1. What is your overall impression of the micro fiction?

My overall impression of the ‘A very short story’ is sad because as I read this
story it’s reminds me the problem of every married individual that is very common to
them. At first it is making me curious because of the very short story and then I realize it
is the husband is the one who is talking in the story. He speaks his mind about his
actions.

2. What is the general message of the story?

For me the general message of the story is the husband’s conduct adultery
against his wife and how trust and marriage was broken because of lust.

3. What literary approach/es informed your understanding of the story? Enumerate and
justify your answer in a short paragraph.
For me that moral and humanistic approach helped me to understand the short
story as it is straightforward since the story expresses a range of emotion that we
humans experience in various situation throughout our lives especially girls. Marriage is
sacred in our nation that’s why when we commit that thing be ready for awaits
consequences that we can encounter. The emotion of betrayal is represented of the
most painful revelation of both boy and girls. Human can make mistake and
acknowledging those mistake is one way to reconcile but, this story her husband does
not display such emotions instead he become proud with his wonderful lies.
