1. How living things differ from non-living things?

Answer: Living things breathe, eat, grow, move, reproduce and have senses. Living things have
life, they grow and show movement. Non-living things are not alive. They do not grow or show
movement. Non-living things do not eat, grow, breathe, move and reproduce. They do not have
senses.

2. What is biodiversity?
Answer: Biodiversity is all the different kinds of life you'll find in one area the variety of animals,
plants, fungi, and even microorganisms like bacteria that make up our natural world. Each of
these species and organisms work together in ecosystems, like a complicated web, to maintain
balance and support life.

3. Describe how energy flows in a food chain and food web?

Answer: A food chain shows how energy is transferred from one living organism to another via
food. It is important for us to understand how the food chain works so that we know what are
the important living organisms that make up the food chain and how the ecology is balanced.

4. Explain how nitrogen cycle, water cycle, and carbon dioxide-oxygen cycle occurs?
Answer: The nitrogen cycle is the biogeochemical cycle by which nitrogen is converted into
multiple chemical forms as it circulates among atmosphere, terrestrial, and marine ecosystems.
The water cycle is the path that all water follows as it moves around Earth in different states.
Water vapor a gas is found in Earth's atmosphere. Water can be found all over Earth in the
ocean, on land and in the atmosphere. The water cycle is the path that all water follows as it
moves around our planet. It is a complex system that includes many different processes.
Liquid water evaporates into water vapor, condenses to form clouds, and precipitates back to
earth in the form of rain and snow.

5. Why natural selection and evolution occurs?

Answer: Natural selection is the process through which populations of living
organisms adapt and change. Individuals in a population are naturally variable, meaning that
they are all different in some ways. Evolution occurs when evolutionary processes such as
natural selection including sexual selection and genetic drift act on this variation, resulting in
certain characteristics becoming more common or rare within a population.

6. How will you protect biodiversity?

Answer: Plant more flowers, fruits and vegetables to sustain our daily needs. Each plant and
vegetable helps to protect biodiversity and supports the wider ecosystem of your local area.
Recycle all plastic and glass products as a household. This process prevents the overuse of
petroleum products in the making of items, as well as, protects trees and forests used in paper
products. Reduce or eliminate the use of products that come in aerosol cans. These products are
known to damage the ozone layer, the environment and to add to the pollution of the air that
we breathe. We are the one holding our future and make our life better. We should always start
a change from ourselves, start small things because every little thing can help to make things
bigger. This pandemic is a lesson for all of us that we should protect our mother earth to have a
brighter future.
