1.0 Executive Summary
In this case study, I have been studied about Dato Chan Ching Swee who is the
Chairman of the Tunas Manja Supermarket which is well known as TMG Mart. TMG Mart
basically is the fastest expanding retail chain stores which provide variety choices of quality

2.0 Business Description
The case study requires students to identify and gather information about one
entrepreneur and its business. The company that I have choose is Tunas Manja
Supermarket which is well known as TMG Mart. It is an enterprise based in Malaysia and the
main office is in Kuantan, Pahang. The enterprise operates in the Other Management
Consulting Services industry. It was founded on 1986. The first ever branches of Tunas
Manja Supermarket was opened at Jalan Bukit Ubi, Kuantan. The local supermarket turn out
very successful and therefore by 2020 they already got 53 branches in Malaysia. The
company provide the best shopping environment, variety choices of goods and also provide
a better services and reasonable prices with quality products. The company’s mission is to
challenge status quo and continue be aspire to be number one Retail Integrated Chain
Businesses in Malaysia. While their vision is to be quality, reliable and trusted
neighbourhood grocery store. As usual, there is always a man behind of a successful
businesses and it happened to be Dato’ Chan Ching Swee who were the leader of the
organization.
Dato’ Chan is a respected local community leader with a very active role in the local
community activities. Presently he holds an important post in Chinese Chamber of
Commerce, Kuantan. He has more than 30 years of experience in the business sector,
focusing on the housing industry and retailing business in Pahang. Since the incorporation of
the Tunas Manja Sdn Bhd, he has contributed tirelessly to the growth and expansion of the
group. To date, Tunas Manja Group of Company has 12 subsidiaries that earned millions
and billions of Ringgit Malaysia a year. All of these companies are also based in Pahang.

3.0 Entrepreneur Characteristic
