Task 1c

Do the Tandem task called CA4 A Job Interview. You should complete your conversation once,
including all its subtasks.
This Tandem task is divided into two different subtasks:

1. One student asks questions to find out about a candidate at a job interview and then
offers a job. The other student replies to his/her partner’s questions and, afterwards,
listens to the job offer and asks some questions about it.

2. Students swap roles.

Students will have to play the part of job applicant or job consultant according to the
instructions in Tandem.

You will find all the necessary instructions and data once you have entered Tandem with your
partner. Make sure to read all the instructions in Tandem carefully and follow the
steps as you go through the tasks. If you need help, check the Tandem instructions.

Pronunciation practice (18th October – 26th October)

1. After studying the online pronunciation materials (you can find the links on the
first page of these guidelines), go to Langblog and watch your teacher’s video and read the
instructions for the task.
