• Sew a 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” square from Fabric J to a

• Take the pieces made in Diagram 6 and in Diagram
11 and layout and sew pieces following Diagram 12.

• Next sew a 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” rectangle from Fabric J inbetween


both pieces made in Diagram 8.

• Sew a 4 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle from Fabric A to the bottom

• Your finished block should look like Diagram 14.


Repeat steps in Diagram 4-14 using the remaining
fabric pieces. Follow the quilt illustration as a guide
to create your remaining blocks. You should have a
total of 4 blocks of block A, B, C, and D. (Diagram
15)

Sew rights sides together.

• Cut enough strips 1½" wide by the width of the fabric


B to make a final strip 298" long. Start sewing the
binding strip in the middle of one of the sides of the
quilt, placing the strip right side down and leaving
an approximated 5" tail. Sew with ¼" seam allowance
(using straight stitch), aligning the strip’s raw edge
with the quilt top’s raw edge.

• Stop stitching ¼" before the edge of the quilt (DIA-


GRAM B 1). Clip the threads. Remove the quilt from
under the machine presser foot. Fold the strip in a
motion of 45° and upward, pressing with your fingers
(DIAGRAM B2). Hold this fold with your finger, bring
