CAC HYMN 967 ENGLISH

1. We speak of the realms of the Blest,
Of that country so bright and so fair
And oft are its glories confess'd;
But what must it be to be to be there?

2. We speak of its pathways of gold,

Of its walls deek'd with Jewels most rare
Its wonders and pleasures untold
But what must it be to be there?
3. We speak of its freedom from sin,
From sorrow, temptation, and care,
From trials without and within?
But what must it be to be there?

4. We speak of its anthems of praise,

With which we can never compare,
The sweetest on earth we can raise;
But what must it be to be there?

5. We speak of its service of love,

Of the robes which the glorified wear,
The Church of the First-born above;
But what must it be to be there?

6. Do Thou, Lord, 'midst pleasure of woe,

Still for Heav'n our spirits prepare,
And shortly we also shall know
And feel what it is to be there.

Amen.

CAC HYMN 965 ENGLISH

1. Forever with the Lord! Amen; so let it be:
Life from the dead is in that word,
'Tis immortality.
Here in the body pent,
Absent from Him I roam,
Yet nightly pitch my moving tent
A day's march nearer home.

2. My Father's house on high,

Home of my soul, how near,
At times, to faith's fore seeing eye,
Thy golden gates appear!
Ah! Then my spirit faints
To reach the land I love,
The bright inheritance of saints,
Jerusalem above.

3. Yet clouds will intervene

And all my prospect flies
Like Noah's dove, I flit between
Rough seas and stormy skies
Anon the clouds depart
The winds and waters cease
While sweetly o'er my gladden'd heart
Expands the bow of peace.
4. I hear at morn and ev'n
At noon and midnight hour
The choral harmonies of heav'n
Earth's babel – tongues o'erpow'r
That resurrection word,
That shout of victory,
Once more, for ever with the Lord
Amen; so let it be.

Amen.

3.CAC HYMN 963 YORUBA

CAC HYMN 963 ENGLISH

1. Jerusalem on high
My song and city is
My home whene'er I die
The center of my bliss.
O happy place! When shall I be,
My God, with Thee, to see Thy
face!

2. There dwells my Lord, my King,

Judged here until to live;
There angels to Him sing,
And lowly homage give.

3. The patriarchs of old

There from their travels cease;
The prophets there behold
Their long'd-for Prince of peace.

4. The Lamb's apostles there

I might with joy behold;
The harpers I might hear
Harping on harps of gold.

5. The bleeding martyrs, they

Within those courts are found;
All cloth'd in pure array
Their scars with glory crown'd.

6. Ah me! ah! me! That I

In Kedar's tents here stay:
No place like this on high;
Thither, Lord, guide my way.
Amen.
