The famous world event happened on April 14, 1912 is the Survivors of the Titanic. Survivors from the

famous shipwreck tell their stories: At 11.40pm on 14 April, 1912, the famously ‘unsinkable’ ocean liner,
Titanic, struck an iceberg. Two hours and 40 minutes later she sank deep into the freezing Atlantic
waters. Less than a third of the people on board survived.

now gathered together to tell the true story of the disaster.

If he orders hits against those critical of him, Ressa, Ranada-Robles and Heydarian would have been dead
for a long time now since they are among his staunchest and most prominent critics in the media. Why

3.Do you agree that media killings is a danger to Philippine democracy? Why? Why not?
ar stu

yes! Because ATTACKS AND THREATS against the Philippine media — acute and creeping, online and
offline, deadly and debilitating — continue to rise under the administration of President Rodrigo R.
Duterte.

In the 28 months of the Duterte presidency, or from July 1, 2016 to Oct. 31, 2018, we have documented
Th

at least 99 such cases of direct and indirect assaults against journalists and news media agencies.

Separately and together, these continue to put at risk and serious peril the practice of independent
journalism in what had hitherto been hailed to be one of Asia’s freest and most rambunctious press.
sh

This latest figure, 99 in all, is bigger than the 85 cases that we have documented until April 30, 2018, or
in the first 22 months of Duterte. But in the succeeding six months, more of the more dreadful cases had
occurred

What I CAN do

1. essay about your analysis and evaluation of the effects of media to the filipino youth.

Media contribution to minds of Filipino youth.

(Title)

The media industry has a great influence to the Filipino youth most especially the shows they released
on television, radio, newspaper, or in the internet. Filipino youth can easily imitate something not good
from Television or from the internet. They can easily hear discouraging news from radio, or they can
easily read stressful news from the newspaper or watch a movie not suitable for them. Media is a means
of mass communication. It can be in the form of broadcasting, publishing, and internet posting.
Sometimes media can contaminate the minds of the youth, especially if it conveys immoral message. The
media has a big social responsibility to the Filipino people especially the young minds. Whatever shows
they release, it should be in a high moral standard. As we have noticed now a day, most of the time
media industry compromise morality just to gain high ratings without thinking that what they do can

really affect the minds and the behavior of the Filipino youth.
