Around the world, people are under attack for who they

love, how they dress, and ultimately for who they are.
Being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex
(LGBTI) means facing daily harassment in far too many
places. The extent of uneven treatment experienced is vast
and damaging, ranging from name-calling and bullying to
being denied a job or adequate healthcare. It's also
possible that it'll put their life in danger. LGBTI persons
are often ridiculed on the streets, physically assaulted, and
even killed, simply because of who they are. Everyone
should be proud of who they are and who they care about.
And now that we have the ability to act, we can learn how
to overcome many of the constraints imposed by gender
norms by accepting LGBTI persons and respecting their
identities.
