The most eventful and memorable thing that happen in my life that made an impact for me is
when I played basketball to represent our nation outside the country. The first time I got was an
invitation during my game coaches were scouting players during the league our coach told us
that we should play our best because the scouts were looking for players to play for them at
first I wasn’t sure of what exactly team that we were going to play for them after the game 2
coaches went to our coach and asked for the players that they have selected to play and
represent “TEAM PILIPINAS” and they have chosen 3 players including myself we were invited
to play outside to represent the country and to make what they call “friendship-game” to play
outside I would say it I was very lucky to be selected to play and represent the country we were
given flight discounts, free foods, free hotels, we were sponsored by nike and also given shoes
which was the Kobe A.D 12 shoes also the transportation were also free we were given free
pass green I.D for the transportation in guam and each player would be given 1k dollars at the
end of the league. We played against teams with big names like Nike elite basketball teams,
Shanghai Sharks, fortune reality school, tiyan juniors high school basketball team, Brent, Xavier
school ect. I also get to experience to play alongside with Kai sotto who is now a UAAP player in
Ateneo and I would say he has very quiet personality and plainly humble and very tall guy.
Unfortunately, we didn’t make it at least the final four we lost a game against Michigan School
ended up losing but I was proud I was able to play anyways. So after the league our manager
gave out our allowance then our coach called our names were divided into groups to prepare
for interviews and I was very nervous that time because I have no idea how I will answer the
questions we sat down the place was full of cameras around us and was just taking pictures
they were too busy answering the questions of the interviewer while I was bugging my coach
when will this end and he told me to relax myself because I was very nervous that time then
after the interview we had photoshoots for the newspapers made then after all that our
manager gave our allowance and we can go anywhere we wanted on the place to enjoy our
small vacation I got to ride the jet ski’s for free and rode boats also for free I got to enjoy my
experience and that was the most memorable event that happened my life.
