Word Wall Ball

How to Play:

I will choose words from our word wall, or ask questions using the word wall terms.
Students will raise their hands if they can define the term or answer the question, and I
will choose one student to attempt to answer correctly. If they succeed, they will be
thrown a small stress ball and go to the back of the room. They will shoot the ball and
try to get it into a small basket that I will hold at the front of the room. If they get the
ball in the basket, they will earn a point for their class period. The class period at the
end of the week with the most points will earn ten minutes of free time at the end of
class on Friday.

Rules:

1. You MUST raise your hand. Calling out will result in a “No Toss” call – meaning
nobody gets to shoot the ball that round.
2. No interference. Any interference from students who are not currently shooting
will also result in a “No Toss” call.
3. I will choose who gets to answer in the fairest way possible, and I expect all
students to have a positive attitude towards my choice.
4. The ball is allowed to bounce ONCE before going into the basket.
