It is certified that Mr. Muhammad Haris Khan Khattak S/O Raees Khan has completed his
internship for three months in the Department of Psychiatry, Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex
Nowshera from 27/11/2019 to 27/02/2020. As a head of department, I found him diligent,
hardworking and with a natural flare for psychology.

During his internship Mr. Muhammad Haris Khan Khattak equipped himself with all basic skills
of clinical psychology. He was exposed to a variety of clinical cases. He learned to conduct
psychological interviews and to administer psychological tests. He was able to develop affective
counseling and therapeutic relationship with patients. He attended the out-patient sessions actively.
He participated in daily ward round with the consultants of our units. He has seen and managed
common psychological emergencies like hysteria, mania, acute delirium, schizophrenia, acutely
disturbed behavior, severe depression etc. He remained actively involved in clerking and
documenting the case histories, psychological interviews, mental status examination, treatment
protocols, round notes and progress reports of patients.

During his stay in the department, I have always found him hard working, disciplined, punctual,
committed and devoted to diagnostic care of the patients. I found him cooperative with all staff
members and colleagues. His performance in the department remained excellent.
