INTRODUCTION

The Community Organization Model is a participatory decision-making process that empowers

communities to improve health. It emphasizes active participation from the community in identifying key
health issues and strategies to address them. Communities focus on their strengths and collectively
mobilize to develop programs to achieve health goals.

INTRODUCTION

Community organization of community-based organization refers to organizing aimed at making

desired improvements to a community’s social health, well-being, and overall functioning. Community
organization occurs in geographically, psychosocially, culturally, spiritually, and/or digitally bounded
communities.
Community organization includes community work, community projects, community development,
community empowerment, community building and community mobilization. It is a commonly used model
for organizing community within community projects, neighborhoods, organizations, voluntary associations,
localities, and social networks, which may operate as ways to mobilize around geography, shared space,
shared experience, interest, need, and/or concern.

The impact in a community if an organization will strictly use or practice the following activities will
mobilize the community. By listening and talking in person, you gain a fair understanding of the people
who want to work towards bettering a situation as opposed to the ones who merely want to vent but
not work. Community organizing is both a tactic to address specific problems and issues and a longer-
term engagement and empowerment strategy. Longer-term objectives of community organizing are
to develop the internal capabilities and to increase the decision-making power and influence of
underrepresented groups.

Yes, they are developed and grow strong and health, because somehow it shows good image in my
community. Their organization is helping our community and they are respected by our community.
The organizations are open to the things that can happen to our community and they have good plan
for their constituency, although the plans that they’ve planned are still not in process, but I can see
that some of their plans for us are ongoing.
