Dear Visitor, we kindly inform you that the application period for the Spring
Semester 2022 is: October 15, 2021 to December 1, 2021.

Dear Visitor,

Thank you for your interest at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics
(BME) and for choosing our institute to pursue your studies.

Our objective is to maintain excellence in teaching and research and - as a result

- we are eager to provide you with a highly esteemed degree recognized in Europe
and all over the world.

You are at the site for application to our programmes as SELF-PAYING student.

At this site, you need to fill in and submit the application form below to have
active application.

Application procedure
If you wish to apply to BME, you will need to fill in the corresponding application
form below.

Before filling in and submitting the application form, please CAREFULLY READ THE
FOLLOWING IMPORTANT NOTES:

1) You are requested to pay the application fee of 100 EUR via bank transfer using
the following data (only bank transfer is accepted):

where 'your username' is the username you have in this e-admission system. It is of
high importance that you use the reference as given here, otherwise the payments
cannot be identified and assigned to applicants.

Please note that BME WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETURN ANY PAYMENTS WITHOUT PROPER
REFERENCE TEXT GIVEN ABOVE.

BME is continuously checking whether your application fee has arrived. Please note
that receiving the application fee is prerequisite of issuing the Letter of
Acceptance. IN LACK OF CONFIRMATION OF YOUR PAYMENT BME WILL NEITHER ANNOUNCE YOUR
RESULT NOR ISSUE YOUR LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE.

3) Please be aware of that:

for finalization and submission of your application, you need to click on "Submit
all and finish" and confirm the submission on the summary page,
once you finalize and submit it, you cannot modify the form later (there is one
attempt only),
however, if you do not submit it, your answers are saved and you can return any
time to modify during the application period,
if you have mistakenly submitted the form, or recognize input to be modified, send
request to us in the form below,
attempts must be submitted before closing the application period, or they are not
counted,
application missing relevant documents or the warrant of application fee is
automatically rejected as 'formally invalid application',
application fee shall be paid using the bank data given above.

In case you mistakenly submitted the form or have recognized false input that shall
be modified, please submit a request here for data adjustment or reopening the
registration form. Please note that evaluated form cannot be reopened.

Credit recognition for transfer students

Pre-BME-studies accreditation: In order to recognize your previous studies, we
kindly ask you to provide further information on the subjects you wish to accredit,
by filling in and uploading the Excel file found below. Faculty correspondents will
evaluate the file you upload and decide about the acceptable credit recognitions.
Please contact the corresponding faculty contact responsible for academic matters.

You have only ONE chance before your first semester at BME to accredit all your
previous subjects, any further such accreditation is only possible with a Faculty
Chance.

Our objective is to maintain excellence in teaching and research and - as a result
- we are eager to provide you with a highly esteemed degree recognized in Europe
and all over the world. Due to this objective, we have some selection criteria
which also helps you to assess your capabilities before entering our program.

Electronic exam

Applicants applying to our programmes are required to complete an electronic e-

admission exam on the subject(s) indicated in Table 1. Admission test is not
required for preparatory courses. For transfer applicants, the corresponding
faculty will evaluate the preliminary studies and judges whether admission test is
necessary.

Written e-tests

Written tests will be held in our electronic admission (e-admission) system. You
will be notified on the date and further details by email.

Schedule of written tests

Written tests will be held continuously. Once your application is awarded as

formally valid, you will be registered to the admission test site. You may freely
select any date within the time window for the completion of the test; however,
please be noted that you have only ONE attempt for completion of the test.

Intended schedule for time window is as follows:

From 15 October, 2021, 8:00AM (CET)

Until 10 December 2021, 8:00PM (CET)

Please note that time schedule is subject to change.

Oral (skype) interview

Oral interview is obligatory for MSc and PhD levels (refer to Table 1). The
interviews are arranged by the corresponding faculties; they will inform you of the
date and time of the interview. Please be informed that the faculty may have the
right to skip the oral interview based on your submitted document and/or the
results of your minimum test (if applies).
In case of any questions, please contact the corresponding faculty for further
details.

Additional information

Please be informed, that our university reserves the right of selecting students
for its programs and in the case of rejecting an application there is no room for
an appeal or legal action to modify the entrance decision.

Transfer students are also required to fill in the above credit recognition form.

Applicants to General Course are required to upload their language certificate in

the corresponding form below.

Admission decision and notification

Please note that you will be notified of the admission decision (via badge) and
receive the admission letter only if the application fee has arrived at BME.
