2. Identify different skills, processes, values, and concepts that are important to learn in each subject.

 Oral Communication – the students will gain skills in this subject that are fundamental to the
development of literacy and essential for thinking and learning. It is the glue that puts all the
components of a language together. Through debate, students learn how to think on their feet, hone
their listening and reflection skills as well as improving their speaking.
 Reading and Writing – The more the students read and write, the more they broaden their
vocabulary and are able to articulate concepts accurately and more effectively to others. Increasing
their abilities to communicate also helps make them better students and professionals in the future.
 Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik Sa Wika at Kulturang Filipino – This subject is composed of
lessons and activities aimed to broaden learners’ knowledge of concepts in communication,
communicative functions, cohesive devices, and the events that lead to the formation of the national
language.
 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World – It helps develop students' critical
thinking skills in the quest for the ubiquitous 21st century competencies. It helps students gain a
better understanding of the societies which produce the literature to foster greater empathy for others.
 Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions – It aims to provide students with an appreciation
of a broad range of styles in the various disciplines with consideration on their elements and
principles, and engage them to an integrative approach in studying arts.
 Media and Information Literacy – MIL aims to enable individuals to think critically about the media
and the information they consume by engaging in a process of inquiry. The aim, according to
UNESCO's definition of media and information literacy, is to allow individuals to become engaged
citizens and responsible decision-makers.
 General Mathematics – It aims to develop learners' understanding of concepts and techniques
drawn from number and algebra, trigonometry and world geometry, sequences, finance, networks
and decision mathematics and statistics, in order to solve applied problems.
 Statistics and Probability – The lessons and activities in this subject helps the students to be
prepared to understand chance and to collect, organize, describe, and analyze numerical data.
 Earth and Life Science – The knowledge gained and the services provided by earth scientists help
society cope with its environment in many ways. Their knowledge about the structure, stratigraphy,
and chemical composition of the earth's crust helps us locate resources that sustain and advance our
quality of life.
 Physical Science – It teaches techniques of experimentation and scientific method to study and
measure various physical effects. It emphasizes the importance of learning scientific method to make
studies and draw conclusions about matter, energy and their interactions.
 Introduction to Philosophy of the Human Person/Pambungad sa Pilosopiya ng Tao – Help
students to clarify what they believe, and they can be stimulated to think about ultimate questions. A
person can study philosophers of the past to discover why they thought as they did and what value
their thoughts may have in.
 Physical Education and Health – develop students' competence and confidence to take part in a
range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school. A high-
quality PE curriculum enables all students to enjoy and succeed in many kinds of physical activity.
 Personal Development/Pansariling Kaunlaran – It gives us the opportunity to take an honest look
at the areas of our life that need improvement. Through this process, we get to know who we really
are, what our true values are, and where we would like to go in life.
 Earth Science (instead of Earth and life science for those in the STEM strand) – Their knowledge
about the structure, stratigraphy, and chemical composition of the earth's crust helps us locate
resources that sustain and advance our quality of life.
 Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction (Taken instead of Physical science for those in the STEM
strand) – This subject helps the students to be aware, since disasters are inevitable, it aims to reduce
the damage caused by natural hazards like earthquakes, floods, droughts and cyclones, through an
ethic of prevention. Disasters often follow natural hazards. A disaster's severity depends on how
much impact a hazard has on society and the environment.
 English for Academic and Professional Purposes – It gives students time to focus on English
writing, critical reading, and research skills. This program helps students develop communication
skills that will prepare them for social and academic interactions.
 Practical Research 1 and 2 – Researches are very important; these subjects are preparing students
in the future. To solve a problem, to make a decision, to develop a new program, product, method or
procedure, to evaluate a program, product or procedure.
 Filipino Sa Piling Larangan– It aims to understand the nature, purpose and method of writing,
different forms of writing used in study in various fields (Academic)
 Akademik
 Isports
 Sining
 Tech-voc
 Empowerment Techonologies (for the strand) – It often deals with the use of different technologies
such as mobile phones, telephone, computer and other devices to locate, save, communicate and to
inform. Empowerment Technology is important for it is used as a source of communication.
 Entrepreneurship – It creates an entrepreneurial environment by allowing employees to use their
entrepreneurial skills for the benefit of both the company and the employee. It gives employees the
freedom to experiment, as well as the potential for growth within an organization.
 Inquiries, Investigatories, and Immerrsion – It is about experiencing research and researching
experiences. In this undertaking, basic knowledge of what research is, and how it works is essential
to ensure that the experience becomes fulfilling. Also, work immersion will help develop among the
learners’ life and career skills, and will prepare them to make decisions on postsecondary education
or employment. These are the main purposes of this subject.

1. Identify different social issues, needs, and demands that should be considered in the curriculum.

The time was passed, there are many changes in worldwide especially in our curriculum. Changes that
need to be advanced in order for the improvement in the field of education, social issues, needs and demands of
curriculum. The most important “social issue" that needs to be on every curriculum is the matter of the globally
integrated and totally interdependent world we live in. The curriculum is intended to produce highly competent
professionals who can keep pace to the world and meeting the needs and demands of the workplace. Student
should always be at the heart of any curriculum design and plan since the reason why we are studying is to be
intellectually competent, it's gaining the essential skills needed to be better-off in your career, or even finally
figuring out what job is actually right for you and also for personal development. This is why we immediately need
a unique, purposeful, and practical educational method and processes, that can impart us, furthermore make us
feel what it means to be in a completely integrated and interdependent system. Curriculum may help us in the
near future as a future educator.

2. Identify learners’ needs and issues that should be considered in curriculum development

Every student has a weakness and their strengths. As an upcoming teacher, we must know the students’
needs and issues that we should consider before dealing out in curriculum development. These are some of the
needs and issues of students that are desired to be considered in making a curriculum, first; their current physical,
social, intellectual, and emotional development. Second; the classroom and school environment, the special
nature of their communities. Lastly, an extensive knowledge about the health status, needs, and physical activity
patterns of children, adolescents, and adults in society.

The curriculum is intended for the students in relations of learning. It is also obviously indicated that
students are the main customer of teaching. Curriculum is purposefully planned, designed, implemented, and
evaluated for students. In selection and organization of content, students' interests are always considered and
identified. In learning, the curricuralist ought to continuously make sure that the students will gain and acquire the
skills needed by the student that's why they are decide on the best learning experiences. To produce
professionals in the future that will lift the education system, it is essential to keep the learning of the student
effectively and efficiently.

 Every school have vision, mission and core values that need to do and fulfill. These are all very
important, those are included in the very first step in curriculum development and those are the
target outcomes of the curriculum. The Pangasinan State University's mission, vision and core
values simply means that giving motivation and support to every mankind, students will be
acknowledge, serve as the guiding principle of an educational institution. It adheres to the
educational philosophy that education is geared towards better citizenship and livelihood and the
United Nation's declaration that education is for all giving access to quality education. It advocates
the better learning in our morally, spiritually, mentally education.

2) How are your school’s vision, mission and core values reflected in your lessons and school
activities?
 Our school’s vision, mission and core values are all in lined in ours lessons and activities. It’s all
about practicing students every day in a way that they should learn something about the lesson. So
at the end of the day, we will achieve our mission, vision, and core values that will reflect the
school's efforts to reconcile.

the needs of the learners and the demands of the society?

Developing the school’s vision, mission and core values are the three most important steps towards
creating a successful program and important part in curriculum development. These three give clarity and
direction of a school. It can help lead to continuing conflicts and a school that has difficulty identifying priorities.
The main goal is to achieve those after the very tiring and meaningful journey. If we can achieve and do what we
have to do and what our mission, vision, and core values stated, it means that we met the demands of the society.
We acquired the needed skills and competence. Schools need to make sure the school community understands
and is committed to the statement. The words in a statement are meaningless without sincere efforts by school
leaders, teachers, school staff, and policy makers to put those words into actions. The university informs us
different information in terms of academic purposes and understanding of the statement that can also help staff
members prioritize their time and energy in ways that align with the values of the school. Our school secures the
different needs of the students, academically, financially and it also motivates every students using different
contest to become more efficient and competitive in every situation. Giving motivational task can enhance our
skills. Through the years, our education is the way and the key and the fulfillment of our dreams especially in our
goals that molds in every chapter of the school year. We always did our best to be the future educator someday.
