This source contains a lot of information about the Darfur conflict but the one that
proved most useful to me was the involvement of international associations. The source
says that the United Nations got involved in the name of “Humanitarian intervention” to
solve this conflict. This information will give me a better understanding of the scale of
this conflict and it would help me compose a media report on the topic.

Sudan – Darfur " World Without Genocide - Making It Our Legacy,

www.worldwithoutgenocide.org/genocides-and-conflicts/darfur-genocide.
This source explains a lot about the Darfur genocide. For example it explains who is
involved, the region where it is happening in, response by international organizations
and many other stuff. What I believe will help me the most on this website is who the
people involved are. It has some information about the people causing it and about the
victims

“Conflict in Darfur.” Encyclopædia Britannica, Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc.,

www.britannica.com/place/Sudan/Conflict-in-Darfur.
As with all my other sources, this source has plenty of information about the conflict.
What I find most useful in this source is it briefly goes over the origins of the conflict. I
feel that this brief explanation gave me a good understanding of what led up to these
events

“The Darfur Conflict: Estimated Impact of Military Spending.” Vision of Humanity, 15

Sept. 2021, www.visionofhumanity.org/darfur-estimated-impact-military-spending/.
This source gave a lot of insight of how severe the conflict actually is. It also explains
many of the consequences that it has had on the country. For example, the estimated
total cost of the conflict from 2003-2017 is around US$83 billion. This will help me
understand and explain the consequences that the conflict has had on the country
“Origins of the Darfur Crisis.” PBS, Public Broadcasting Service, 3 July 2008,
www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/africa-july-dec08-origins_07-03.
This source mainly goes over the origins of the conflict. It goes in more detail than my
previous source does. By using this source, I feel that I have an even better
understanding of what prior events led up to this tragedy.
