Primary storage is also called main memory or Immediate Access Store (IMAS). There
are two types of primary storage Random Access Memory (RAM) and Read Only
Memory (ROM).

Random Access Memory (RAM) is volatile memory, that is, the information is lost when
the computer is turned off. Read Only Memory (ROM) is permanent and cannot be
deleted.
