Mirfa International Power & Water Company P.J.S.C (“MIPCO”) owns Mirfa Independent Water and Power project located in Al Mirfa, U.A.E. The plant, which is under construction, Bid Closing Date : 2021-11-01
will produce and transmit around 15% of the power requirement of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. Mirfa project will produce 1600 MW of power and 52.5 MGID of desalinated water a day.
MIPCO shareholders are Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA) holding 80% and GDF SUEZ with 20%. A mix of debt and equity is funding the construction project.
MIPCO has signed a 25-year Power and Water Purchase Agreement (PWPA) for the production of the Mirfa Independent Water and Power project, with the Abu Dhabi Water and RFQ Date : 2021-10-30
Electricity Company (ADWEC).
