School holidays
School holidays are very different for Helen and Nick. Let’s look at what they do:

Helen

Helen gets up early in the mornings. In the holidays, she studies at a summer school. She starts school at 9.00 a.m.
She likes summer school. She does different things. ‘We have lessons but we also do lots of activities. I have singing
lessons at 2.00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and I play lots of volleyball. There are lots of things to do. It is never
boring!’ Helen goes to summer school in July and August.

Nick

Nick loves his holidays. He gets up late and he watches TV in the mornings. His mum is at home, and he helps his
mum in the house. In the afternoons and evenings, he plays computer games or meets friends. ‘I love my holidays. I
don’t do many things. I just relax. But me and my family all go on holiday for two weeks, and I play lots of sports on
holiday.’
