This report will briefly investigate Versace, a luxury fashion brand, and its recent
Runway Collection for Spring/Summer 2022 regarding the mark, logo, colors,
details, and items. In addition, several trends of the S/S 2022 season, according to
Vogue, also will be mentioned.

At Milan Fashion Week, Versace, a prestigious and well-known fashion house,

debuted its new Spring/Summer 2022 Runway Collection. The collection's impact
has sparked a great deal of attention among fashionistas globally.

Gianni Versace S.r.l., founded in Milan in 1978, is one of the world's top fashion
design businesses and a global icon of Italian luxury in creating haute couture,
prêt-à-porter, accessories, jewelry, watches, eyewear, perfumes, and home
furnishings, all with the Medusa emblem (Company Profile | Versace Official
Website 2019). By the distinctive talent of Donatella Versace, known as the
Artistic Director of Versace since 1997 (Company Profile | Versace Official
Website 2019), the image of Versace has been beyond the national scale along
with plenty of audacious strategies. The Spring/Summer 2022 Runway Collection,
centered on the symbolic foulard with Medusa print and the new La Greca print of
Versace, was also one of the spotlights of Donatella Versace’s career in preserving
the brand’s heritage but still applying the recent trends well (Jung, Wee & Bae
2021).

With the appearance of celebrities and supermodels, namely Dua Lipa, Gigi Hadid,
Naomi Campbell, Emily Ratajkowski, and Lourdes Leon Ciccone, the stunning,
fully scarf-taken designs, Versace’s latest runway night for Spring/Summer 2022
immediately captured the entire world’s attention. It was such a sparkling
reincarnation of Versace's numerous successes, geared squarely at the TikTok
generation - young people who may be familiar with Dua Lipa and Lil Nas X but
not with the supermodels who helped launch the company to popularity 30 years
ago (Phelps 2021).

Donatella Versace divulged the Spring/Summer 2022 collection with a total of

seventy-nine garments, which is a perfect mixture between showiness and
commonness but still on-trend. Almost 7 out of 10 seasonal trends brought out by
Vouge were defined in the collection.

Besides the brand’s signature foulard used for accessories and even part of the
clothes, the iconic colorful safety pins also stole the limelight, which went well
with both black cut-out suit and bright set. The show started with the dark aesthetic
and eventually progressed to vivid purple, pink, green, and others (Dua Lipa Opens

Lipa’s stunning performance ended the runway with a pink metallic mesh set and
same-colored accessories.

In conclusion, Versace has played a significant role as a glamourous fashion house,

and the S/S 2022 collection was the proof. Information collected for this report has
shown the overview of Versace S/S 2022 Runway collection and the brand’s
insight.
