ABMS-CCD 3M Brazil - sept 2003 3

Special Features
• Due to light absorption (artificial or natural UV), product can provide up to 6 hours of
visibility in dark conditions (depending on time and quantity of previous exposure to
light source – minimum exposure is 5 minutes to provide some glow)

• Besides its anti-slip characteristic, it enables visualization of exit paths in case of

power and other illumination sources outage

• Also provides increased safety when lights are out or in places with poor or no night
illumination

• Indicated for use in emergency exits, escape routes, tunnels, night-clubs, work
areas and any place that requires additional safety on evacuation, emergencies or as
a visible-in-the-dark, slip resistant surface solution

light emission caused by a chemical reaction light emission due to absorption of light light emission due to the passage
(infrared, visible, ultraviolet) and electron transitions of eletric current through the material

FLUORESCENCE PHOSPHORESCENCE
