Learning standards can be categorized into three domains. Describe the concept for each domain.

1. COGNITIVE

The concept of cognitive domain is about intellectual capability or learners’ability to process


information in a meaningful way such as student’s knowledge or something that they think
about. This domain involves what the students learn and how they use it within their mind. It
can be categorized by knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and
evaluation.

2. AFFECTIVE

The concept of affective domain is about covering such ideas as how the student’s feel about
their performance and wheather or not they are learning sportsmanship. This concept is also
related to learner’s attitudes and feelings that are a result of the learning process. Affective
domain include receiving, responding, valuing, organization and characterization.

3. PSYCHOMOTOR

Psychomotor involves how learner move their bodies to perform an expected outcome, they
also training their body to do the correct movement and developing a healthy life-style.
Generally, it is about learner’s ability to use motor skills to learn. It can be categorized by
perception, set, guided response, mechanism, complex overt response, adaptation and
origination.
