What is the data

This data set represents the number of video games with sales greater than 1,00,000 copies. It
includes data such as follows

 Rank- Ranking of the overall sales

 Name of the Title
 Platform (such as PC, PS4, etc)
 Year of release
 Genre (type of the game)
 Publisher
 NA_Sales- Sales in North America (in millions)
 EU_Sales- Sales in Europe (in millions)
 JP_Sales- Sales in Japan (in millions)
 Other_Sales- Sales in the rest of the world (in millions)
 Global_Sales- Total worldwide sales

This dataset shows how many videogames have been sold in the major demanding areas (Europe,
North America and Japan) along with the rest of the world. It has 16,598 records of video games
across multiple platforms. It helps videogame creators find, which type of game consumer likes
depending on the area and the genre. Also, the sales suggest which areas are lacking in sales and the
need to improve them.

Likely implications from the study.

With the regression test we will test the presence of correlation between the sales of various titles,
genre and ranking with the sales in North America, Japan, Europe and other counties. Also, we will
compare it with the global sales. This type of data will provide an insight to the videogames company
if there is any correlation between these factors, and if so till what extent it is.

Along with this the creators will get an idea where are sales happening, what type of games people
in different areas as compared to global. Since North America, Europe and Japan are the gaming
hubs, where maximum videogame creation and consumption happens. Since many video game
creators are about to add DLSS support to their games, they can use this correlation to see which
genre needs DLSS support, since it is quite expensive and time consuming.
