What I Have Learned

1. What qualities should you look for when buying vegetables?

-Examine the vegetable for freshness indicators such as

brilliant, vibrant color and crispness, as well as soft patches.
Harvest season is when veggies are at their best, and it's also
when they're the most economical to buy.

2. How are vegetables thawed?

-You may thaw your vegetables in three different ways. Place

frozen vegetables in the refrigerator for a gentle, safe
thawing process that will take several hours or overnight. As
a second alternative, immerse veggies in cold water that you
replace every 30 minutes, enclosed in plastic wrap or a glass
container.

3. What suffers when the vegetables are overcooked?

-Overcooked vegetables may suffer undesirable changes in

color, texture, and flavor.
